Political activist Deji Adeyanju has sparked discussion with his thoughts on the upcoming 2027 presidential elections. According to him, a coalition ticket featuring former President Goodluck Jonathan would be the opposition's best chance at defeating President Bola Tinubu.
Adeyanju suggested two possible coalition ticket combinations: Jonathan/Kwankwaso or a young northerner/Obi. He believes that no southern candidate, except Jonathan, can defeat Tinubu.
In his words:
“The coalition best ticket in my view is maybe GEJ/Kwankwaso or if they want to go north, a young northerner/Obi. But no southern candidate can defeat Tinubu except GEJ.”
Adeyanju also expressed his doubts about Atiku Abubakar's chances, citing his age as a factor that may not resonate with young voters. He emphasized the need for the opposition to energize young voters.
Adeyanju's comments have generated online debate, with many Nigerians sharing their thoughts on the potential electoral permutations ahead of 2027.
