The ADC leadership said the statements, including a publication by the State Publicity Secretary and a press conference by a group of purported stakeholders, were aimed at creating disunity and confusion within the party.
The State Secretary, Victor Oluwatuyi, stated that the party remains united and committed to building strong grassroots structures across the state. He dismissed the incidents as "false, unauthorized, and malicious."
Oluwatuyi explained that the State Publicity Secretary's publication was his personal opinion and not that of the party leadership. He also stated that he attended El-Rufai's inauguration event, and the State Chairman had indicated his intention to be present.
The ADC leadership accused the faction that organized the press conference of spreading "reckless and mischievous allegations" against respected party leaders. The party vowed to sanction those behind the unauthorized statements and warned against impersonation of party officials.
The ADC appealed to members, coalition partners, and the general public to disregard the controversial statements and press conference. The party also called on the national headquarters to support the Kaduna chapter in protecting its integrity.
The ADC warned that anyone caught impersonating or misrepresenting its leadership would face internal sanctions and potentially be reported to law enforcement agencies.
