The event, held in Gusau and Tsafe Town, was themed "First Aid and Climate Change." Ibrahim Bello, NRCS Zamfara state branch secretary, highlighted the importance of first aid in mitigating the effects of climate change.
The occasion was attended by national executives of NRCS, including Senior Officer Climate Change and Adaptation, Mr. Sunday Auwalu, and Community Engagement and Accountability officer Chioma Okeke.
Other dignitaries present included state Directors of Forestry, Religious, and representatives of the Executive Secretary Zamfara state Emergency Management Agency (ZEMA), Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Police, and National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).
In a related development, the Czech Aid Project organized training for the Mothers Club in Bungudu Local Government Area, focusing on saving loans and financial management.
The NRCS Zamfara state branch chairman, represented by Mallam Shehu Ahmed, expressed appreciation for the support of stakeholders and volunteers, reaffirming the branch's commitment to humanitarian services in the state.
