Zamfara Assembly Calls for Suspension of ZAROTA Chairman

The Zamfara State House of Assembly has called for the suspension of the Chairman of the Zamfara Road Traffic Agency (ZAROTA), MB Musa, due to allegations of misappropriating over ₦11 million.

This decision was made after the House Committee on Ethics submitted a report revealing that agency funds were diverted without following proper procedures.

The lawmakers unanimously agreed that Musa should step down while investigations are ongoing. The Deputy Speaker, Adamu Aliyu Gummi, announced the resolution during Wednesday's sitting.

The allegations against Musa are serious, and the Assembly's call for his suspension indicates a commitment to transparency and accountability.

It's worth noting that the Zamfara State House of Assembly has been actively addressing various issues, including the recent suspension of eight lawmakers and the closure of the legislature due to internal conflicts.
