The suspensions were announced by the National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, following a marathon meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) at the party’s Abuja headquarters.
Also suspended were:
- National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade (SAN),
- National Organizing Secretary, Umar Bature,
- Deputy National Legal Adviser.
The affected officials, identified as Wike’s allies, had reportedly abstained from recent party meetings. They face a one-month suspension and will face the PDP Disciplinary Committee.
The development comes a day after an Abuja High Court halted the PDP’s planned national convention in Ibadan, Oyo State, scheduled for November 15–16, 2025. The party has vowed to appeal the ruling but insists preparations for the convention will continue.
Internal divisions, partly linked to Wike’s faction, are believed to have spurred the lawsuit challenging the convention.
