Victory Possible in 2027 Elections Even Without Sitting Govs – ADC

The African Democratic Congress has expressed optimism about becoming a dominant force in the 2027 general elections, regardless of whether it has serving governors in its ranks. The party’s National Vice Chairman shared this view during a meeting with journalists in Bauchi. He emphasized that the lack of a sitting governor would not weaken the party’s prospects, citing past examples where leaders won without such support.

He stated that the public sees the need for a new political movement and believes the party offers a solution. The party leader also dismissed claims of internal conflicts and invited disillusioned politicians from other parties to join. Unlike other parties that charge high fees for nomination forms, the party pledged to make participation accessible to all qualified Nigerians.

The leader, a former high-ranking official of another major party, expressed confidence in the party’s ability to reorganize for success. He promised fairness to the people if elected and urged citizens to obtain their voter cards and participate in the elections, warning that poor leadership would persist if voters do not make wise choices.

He criticized the current state of politics, where a small group dominates governance, and reaffirmed the party’s commitment to mentoring young leaders.
