Recurrent expenditure is set at ₦353.77 billion, while capital expenditure stands at ₦536.56 billion, reflecting the administration's focus on long-term development and infrastructure renewal, crucial for the state's recovery from insurgency. Governor Zulum emphasized the budget's role in rebuilding communities, restoring economic vitality, and ensuring a safer future.
The education sector received ₦135.43 billion for new schools, facility rehabilitation, scholarships, and teacher recruitment. The works and housing sector was allocated ₦94.27 billion for urban and rural roads, bridges, and housing projects. The health sector got ₦66.41 billion to complete hospitals, procure equipment, and supply essential drugs.
Other key allocations include ₦58.71 billion for reconstruction, rehabilitation, and resettlement to support displaced persons returning home, ₦44.95 billion for agriculture to enhance food security and assist farmers, and ₦21.35 billion for water resources initiatives.
Projected revenue includes ₦317.69 billion from the Federation Account, ₦44.30 billion from Internally Generated Revenue, and ₦417.23 billion from capital receipts such as grants and development funds.
Speaker Abdulkarim Lawan assured the Assembly would carefully review the budget to ensure it aligns with the state's development needs before approval.
