Daudawa stated that the court’s decision has boosted the morale of party members and reinforced trust in the PDP’s internal procedures. The case, filed by Samuel Anyanwu, challenged the party’s handling of the national secretary position but was dismissed after the plaintiff’s legal team acknowledged that his tenure had ended in December 2025.
The defendants in the suit included the PDP, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Umar Damagun, Sunday Udeh-Okoye, Ali Odela, and Setonji Koshoedo. Daudawa emphasized that the ruling not only solidifies the party’s administrative framework but also positions it well to field candidates for the 2027 general elections.
He further confirmed that all key party structures—such as the National Working Committee (NWC), National Executive Committee (NEC), Board of Trustees, and national delegates—remain fully operational. Daudawa also extended congratulations to the PDP’s national leadership and reiterated unwavering support for Kabiru Turaki, whom he described as the legitimate head of the party.
