Yazid Abubakar, the police spokesperson, confirmed the incident, describing the loss of lives as deeply regrettable. He praised the bravery of the officers who stood their ground against the heavily armed bandits. “Our men displayed exceptional courage and professionalism during the encounter,” Abubakar stated. “They successfully eliminated a number of the attackers, though we mourn the fallen officers and civilians who were victims of this senseless violence.”

In the aftermath of the incident, the Zamfara State Commissioner of Police, Ahmad Bello, visited the affected community to offer condolences to the families of the deceased and reassure locals of the police force’s commitment to their safety. Bello emphasized that the command would not relent in its efforts to dismantle criminal networks operating in the state. “We are determined to restore peace and ensure that those responsible for this heinous act face the full wrath of the law,” he declared.
