ADC's spokesman, Bolaji Abdullahi, a former PDP chieftain and ex-Minister of Youth and Sports, stated that Obi's return to the PDP would be too politically risky.

Abdullahi's statement comes after Professor Jerry Gana, a former Minister of Information and PDP founding member, praised Obi as a leader with credibility and capacity to help rebuild Nigeria.
Gana described Obi as "a symbol of hope" and a vital figure in the struggle for good governance, emphasizing the need for a broad coalition of credible opposition figures to unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress in 2027.
