Federal Govt Plans to Revive Kaduna Textile Industry

The Federal Government has announced plans to revive the dormant Kaduna Textile Industry, aiming to boost the country's economy.

Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, made this known during a 2-day interactive session on government-citizen engagement in Kaduna.

Akume emphasized President Bola Tinubu's commitment to developing all regions of Nigeria, highlighting the administration's efforts to industrialize the country through diversification.

He specifically mentioned the intention to revisit the "good old days" of the Kaduna Textile Industry, which will contribute to solidifying the country's economy through industrialization.

The event, themed "Assessing Electoral Promises: Fostering Government-Citizens Engagement for National Unity," was organized by the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation.

Notable attendees included the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, and the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa.
