The governor made the announcement during the swearing-in ceremony for the 2025 Batch B Stream I corps members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Damare.
Fintiri stated that the increment is part of his administration's commitment to improving the welfare of corps members and creating a supportive atmosphere for them.
He also reaffirmed his administration's commitment to youth development and welfare, noting that the allowance hike complements ongoing support efforts such as regular food provision and other welfare initiatives.
Additionally, Fintiri disclosed that plans are underway for the construction of a new NYSC orientation camp in the state. He directed the NYSC State Coordinator to involve corps members with relevant qualifications in supervising the project.
The governor congratulated the new corps members and welcomed them to Adamawa, assuring them of government support. He emphasized the importance of discipline, community development, and healthy interactions during their service year.
The state Commissioner for Youths and NYSC Governing Board Chairman, Wali Yakubu, urged corps members to take the orientation course seriously and embrace skill acquisition for post-service self-reliance.
The NYSC State Coordinator, Mrs. Osoro Caroline, commended the corps members' discipline and participation, praising Fintiri's consistent support for the corps members.
