According to the Service Public Relations Officer, ACI AS Akinlabi, the 32-page passport with a 5-year validity will now cost ₦100,000, while the 64-page passport with a 10-year validity will cost ₦200,000.
However, the fees for Nigerians applying for passports in the diaspora will remain unchanged, at $150 for the 32-page, 5-year passport and $230 for the 64-page, 10-year passport.
The Immigration Service stated that the adjustment aims to maintain the quality and integrity of the Nigerian passport while ensuring accessibility for citizens. This increase comes just a year after the Federal Government approved a previous fee hike in August 2024.
