According to a statement by Assistant Corps Marshal Olusegun Ogungbemide, Corps Public Education Officer, the promotion exercise involves the elevation of 51 Deputy Corps Commanders to the rank of Corps Commander and 49 Assistant Corps Commanders to the rank of Deputy Corps Commander.
The SGF, who granted the approval on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, commended the FRSC leadership for maintaining transparency and merit-based approach during the exercise. He urged the newly promoted officers to rededicate themselves to the Corps' mission of eradicating road traffic crashes and promoting a safer motoring environment.
The Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, congratulated the promoted officers, stating that their elevation was based on dedication and performance. He reminded them that higher ranks come with higher responsibilities and encouraged them to uphold the highest standards of discipline, service, and integrity.
Mohammed also encouraged officers not promoted in this cycle to remain steadfast, loyal, and committed, assuring them that their efforts would be recognized in future exercises. He reiterated the Corps' commitment to staff welfare and called on all FRSC personnel to remain focused and contribute to the actualization of the Corps' strategic goals and safety mandate.
