Zamfara: Bandit Attack in Adabka Leaves Many Security Personnel Missing

A daring attack by armed bandits on Adabka Village in Bukkuyum Local Government Area of Zamfara State has left several security personnel missing.

The attack, which occurred on Thursday night around 8:32 p.m., saw a large group of bandits storm the village, abducting several residents. A joint security team quickly responded, engaging the bandits in a fierce gun battle.

According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, four abducted villagers were rescued during the clash. However, two officers from the Police Mobile Force (PMF) and seven members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF) went missing.

A search and rescue operation is currently underway to locate the missing security personnel and any other abducted residents.

The incident highlights the ongoing security challenges in Zamfara State, where banditry and kidnapping have become rampant. The authorities have pledged to intensify efforts to combat the menace and ensure the safe return of the missing personnel.
