PDP chairman, Jamilu Magayaki, expressed satisfaction with voter turnout but alleged that APC officials, in collaboration with security operatives, disrupted the peaceful process. He claimed that PDP officials and members were chased away from polling units, and security personnel aided APC officials in manipulating the process.
In contrast, APC spokesman Yusuf Idris accused the PDP of deploying thugs and Community Protection Guards to destabilize the poll. He commended voters for defying challenges and participating in the election despite hostile conditions.
Idris alleged that the government deployed unlawful machinery to intimidate voters but expressed confidence that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) would resist electoral malpractice.
The APC leadership urged members and supporters to remain calm while awaiting INEC's decision, vowing to resist any attempt to alter the people's mandate in Kaura Namoda South.
