This comes as the union seeks divine intervention to push the government to meet their pending demands.
In a press statement issued in Ilorin, the state Chairman and Deputy Secretary General of the union, Comrade Yusuf Wahab Agboola and Moni Mike Monday Itua, commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's administration for approving financial backing for the 2024 teachers' promotion.
However, they expressed disappointment over the government's silence on the 27.5% and 21% Teachers Specific Allowances (TSA).
The union resolved to declare a day of fasting and prayer before issuing a formal ultimatum to the state government. They urged their members to remain calm and await further directives.
This development comes amid reports of social media publications calling for a protest by public school teachers in the state against the union and the state government.
