Several meetings with the state government officials yielded no positive results, prompting the union to take industrial action.
The strike comes at a critical time, as Zamfara State is grappling with a cholera outbreak that has recorded over 1,500 suspected cases in recent weeks.
The outbreak has primarily affected 11 rural communities in the Bukkuyum Local Government Area, including Nasarawa-Burkullu, Gurusu, and Adabka.
The union warned that if their grievances are not addressed, they will embark on an indefinite strike.
A joint task force has been assigned to ensure compliance with the union's directives at state government-owned health centers.
