In Adamawa, troops intercepted two alleged fuel smugglers in Mubi South with 19 jerrycans of petrol strapped to motorcycles. In Plateau State, troops uncovered two AK-47 rifles in a cache at Mista Ali village, Bassa district.
In Abuja, Guards Brigade troops tracked down three suspects who had fled a checkpoint after being spotted in a stolen vehicle from Osun State. The suspects were arrested in a Gwagwalada hotel, and troops seized the vehicle, 11 mobile phones, and N29,700. The suspects and exhibits were handed over to the police.
The army stated that operations are ongoing to dismantle criminal networks and recover illicit weapons across the country.
