Zamara: PDP Forum Cautions Gov Lawal Over Exclusion of Party Loyalists

The Zamfara PDP Forum has raised concerns over the alleged sidelining of loyal party members by Governor Dauda Lawal, despite their significant contributions to his victory in the 2023 elections.

The group criticized the governor for reportedly favoring former All Progressives Congress (APC) members over long-standing PDP supporters who played a crucial role in his success.

Speaking on behalf of the Forum, Ibrahim Gusau expressed disappointment, stating that prioritizing former APC members undermines the dedication of those who worked hard to secure the governor’s election.

He warned that this approach risks weakening the PDP’s influence in Zamfara and eroding public trust in the administration.

The Forum linked the governor’s actions to the PDP’s recent defeat in a bye-election, urging him to learn from the outcome by reaffirming loyalty to his original supporters.

Gusau emphasized that unity and fairness within the party are essential to rebuilding trust and ensuring stability in Zamfara. The group pledged to continue advocating for the interests of committed PDP members.
