Supporters of the All Progressives Congress in Zamfara State have called on the party’s national leadership to expel Wamban Shinkafi, accusing him of repeatedly acting against the APC’s interests.
The group, represented by its Secretary, Comrade Mubarak Musa Shanawa Shinkafi, warned that Shinkafi’s continued membership undermines party unity, discipline, and credibility. They expressed shock over his alleged disloyal and divisive actions, including recent publications and statements they claim were designed to tarnish the APC’s reputation in Zamfara.
The supporters accused Shinkafi of being funded by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party to sow discord and weaken the APC politically, calling his actions outright sabotage. They emphasized that he lacks a meaningful structure within the party, with inactive offices and operations, and has contributed little to its growth or cohesion. Instead, they argue, he now serves as a tool for PDP manipulation.
The group warned that allowing Shinkafi to remain in the APC would signal tolerance for betrayal and urged party leaders at all levels to act swiftly. They stressed that inaction would amount to complicity with anti-party forces, asserting that the APC belongs to its members and no individual should be permitted to compromise its integrity.
Reaffirming their loyalty, the supporters vowed to hold accountable anyone working against the party’s interests. They insisted that the APC in Zamfara must remain united, disciplined, and resilient against both internal and external threats.
