Represented by his deputy, Mani Malam Mummuni Masamar Mudi, the governor emphasized his administration’s dedication to impactful projects across all 14 local government areas.
A statement by the deputy governor’s Press Secretary, Shehu Adamu Gusau, noted that the initiative aims to improve healthcare delivery in the state. Additionally, plans are finalized to demolish and rebuild the Zurmi Emirate Palace to preserve cultural heritage.
Other projects include a ₦2 billion contract for Kanwa Road construction, ongoing work on Zurmi–Rukudawa Road (7km), roads within Zurmi town (3km), and roads in Moriki (3km). Renovations are also underway at Zurmi Primary Healthcare Centre and the General Hospital.
Governor Lawal praised the Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Alhaji Nasiru Ibrahim Zurmi, for sponsoring the cash aid program and urged other officials to support citizen welfare. Alhaji Zurmi stated the initiative complements government efforts to ease economic hardship, with each of the 850 beneficiaries—selected from polling units across Zurmi—receiving ₦20,000.
The Speaker of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, Commissioners for Local Government, Commerce, and Industry, and Zurmi LGA Chairman applauded the program as exemplary.
