“The power to choose leaders lies with the electorate,” Ajadi stated. “No amount of political advantage can override a united public determined to enact change through the ballot.” He urged Nigerians, especially young and first-time voters, to remain undeterred by rhetoric that devalues their votes and instead focus on peaceful mobilization and participation in the 2027 elections.
Ajadi linked Tinubu’s comments to widespread discontent over economic struggles and insecurity, stressing that elections are the constitutional mechanism for holding leaders accountable. “Incumbency doesn’t guarantee victory,” he noted. “When citizens face hardship, leaders should address their concerns—not dismiss the possibility of democratic change.”
Reaffirming the PDP’s commitment to democratic principles, Ajadi called for increased civic engagement as the antidote to what he termed “the arrogance of power.” He concluded, “In 2027, Nigerians will decide their future at the polls, proving that no leader is beyond the reach of the people’s will.”
Tinubu’s administration, which has pursued economic reforms since its 2023 victory, faces growing criticism over their impact on citizens. As political tensions rise ahead of 2027, Ajadi’s remarks echo broader opposition calls for accountability through democratic means.
