This decision was shared in a statement released by Balarabe Danlami, the Director of Corporate Communications at the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB). The announcement was made by SUBEB’s Executive Chairman, Yusuf Kabir, while discussing matters concerning staff promotions within the board.
According to the statement, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf approved the promotions for employees whose promotion periods were due between July 2024 and July 2025. Additionally, the government has agreed to settle all pending financial benefits linked to these promotions, ensuring that the affected workers receive the full advantages of the move.
Kabir praised the governor for this initiative, calling it a clear sign of the administration’s dedication to improving workers' welfare and strengthening the education sector. He also encouraged the promoted staff to respond by working harder, maintaining discipline, and upholding professionalism in their roles to enhance basic education throughout Kano State.
