Zamfara Senator Empowers 750 Constituents with Motorcycles, Cash, Business Tools

Senator Ikira Bilbis (PDP-Zamfara), in collaboration with the National Institute of Agricultural Research (NIAR), Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, has empowered 750 persons from his constituency under his 2025 Capital Project Empowerment Programme. 

Mr. Bilbis, who is the chairman of the Senate Committee on Communications, represents Zamfara Central Senatorial District. During the event held in Gusau, the lawmaker distributed 350 motorcycles, 250 tailoring machines, and 150 freezers. 

He also distributed ₦100 million in cash to various categories of beneficiaries, including men and women. The beneficiaries were drawn from the four LGAs of Zamfara Central Constituency: Bungudu, Gusau, Maru, and Tsafe.

Governor Dauda Lawal, represented by his deputy, Mani Mummuni, inaugurated the distribution and praised the lawmaker's efforts, describing them as a welcome development aligned with his administration's rescue mission policy. The governor urged beneficiaries to use the support to grow their businesses.

Senator Bilbis explained that the beneficiaries included PDP local government chairmen, elders, youths, women, the aged, orphans, and less-privileged individuals. 

The cash assistance aimed to boost small businesses. He pledged continued quality representation, with upcoming projects including 100 mosques, Islamic schools, and 1,000 solar street lights across the constituency.
