Dikko, accompanied by ministry officials, praised the quality of work done so far. He recalled that the stadium was in poor condition when the current administration took office in 2023 but emphasized the government’s commitment to revitalizing it for sports and events. Once finished, the facility will serve as the home ground for Zamfara United FC and host other activities to boost state revenue.
The contractor, Monimichelle Sports Company, received commendation for their efforts. Project engineer Terngo Williams guided officials through key sections, including the 1,000-seat pavilion, dressing rooms, medical facilities, and the main field, where drainage work precedes synthetic turf installation. Williams confirmed all materials are on-site to ensure timely, specification-compliant completion.
