Christian Police Forum Elects Bishop Anthony as National President

The Christian Police Fellowship of Nigeria (CPFN) has welcomed a new leader as Bishop Chidi Anthony steps into the role of National President for the Stakeholders Forum. This pivotal appointment took place during the 8th Bi-ennial National Convention, a three-day gathering held from February 11 to 13, 2026, at the Men of Issacar Vision Ministry in Olororo-Ojo, Ibadan, Oyo State. The event, centered on the theme “Christian Police as Repairer of the Breach,” drew a diverse assembly of active and retired police officers, high-ranking generals, bishops, pastors, and other prominent Christian figures from across the nation.

Bishop Anthony, who serves as the General Overseer of Kings in Christ International Ministries and holds the position of National President for the Pentecostal Ministers Forum, shared his heartfelt reaction to the appointment. He described receiving the official letter as a moment of divine affirmation, stating that the opportunity aligned perfectly with his spiritual calling. He expressed his dedication to upholding the values of CPFN and reshaping the public’s often negative perception of law enforcement.

In his address, Bishop Anthony highlighted the disproportionate attention given to the missteps of police officers compared to their acts of service and kindness. He stressed the need to amplify the positive contributions of the police force, noting that while a single error might dominate public discourse, countless acts of integrity and sacrifice often go unnoticed. He also commended the outgoing National Coordinator, AIG Emmanuel Adegbola Aina, for his exemplary leadership and paid tribute to CPFN’s founder, retired AIG Michael O. Daniel, for laying the foundation of the organization.

The convention marked a significant milestone for CPFN, signaling a new era of revitalized purpose, strengthened leadership, and deeper spiritual engagement. With Bishop Anthony at the forefront, the fellowship is poised to expand its influence in promoting the gospel, nurturing ethical conduct, and fostering a police force rooted in faith and a commitment to serving humanity. The gathering not only celebrated a leadership transition but also reinforced the collective resolve to bridge gaps, inspire trust, and uphold the highest standards of service within the law enforcement community.
