The project was executed in response to a formal request made by members of the Gumburawa community, reflecting the Senator’s continued responsiveness to the needs of his constituents.
While handing over the completed cemetery to the community, the Senator’s representative and contractor for the project, Mallam Umar Abdullahi Alkanci, stated that the gesture forms part of Senator Wamakko’s enduring commitment to promoting Islamic affairs and supporting community development initiatives across the state.
He noted that with the completion of the cemetery, residents of Gumburawa and surrounding communities will no longer face challenges in securing a befitting burial place for their departed loved ones.
Mallam Alkanci also urged the benefiting communities to ensure proper maintenance of the facility and safeguard it against vandalism.
He expressed gratitude to Senator Wamakko for the opportunity to execute the project and prayed for Almighty Allah’s abundant reward upon him.
In his remarks, former federal lawmaker, Hon. Sa’idu Muhammad Gumburawa, expressed profound appreciation on behalf of the community, describing the project as timely and impactful. He disclosed that no fewer than seven communities are expected to benefit from the cemetery, including Gumburawa, Kaurar Moyi, Bakasi, Gidan Gado, Gidan Gambo, and Runjin Gabas, among others.
Hon. Gumburawa assured that the facility would be properly utilized and maintained for the collective benefit of all the communities concerned.
Special prayers were offered by the Imam of the area for the continued progress, good health, and development of Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko.
The project stands as yet another testament to the Senator’s unwavering dedication to grassroots development and community welfare.
