However, not all projects met the expected standards. During the visit to the High Court, Zurmi raised serious concerns over what he described as substandard execution. He expressed dissatisfaction with the contractor’s failure to adhere to the approved specifications and immediately summoned the responsible engineer and contractor to address the issues. The commissioner issued a stern warning, reiterating that the administration of Governor Dauda Lawal would not accept any compromise on quality.
“We have zero tolerance for substandard projects,” Zurmi declared. “Contractors must understand that cutting corners will not be tolerated. The people of Zamfara deserve infrastructure that is durable, safe, and built to last. Any deviation from the agreed standards will be met with strict consequences.”
The commissioner further emphasized that the government’s focus is on delivering projects that will stand the test of time and serve the people effectively. He assured residents that the inspection exercise would continue across the state to ensure that all ongoing and future projects meet the required benchmarks.
