The meeting focused on the dissemination of key findings from the analysis conducted on Kano State’s Integrated Last Mile Delivery system, providing stakeholders with insights into supply chain performance and opportunities for improvement. Participants also reviewed the current stock status of family planning commodities and essential medicines, while a detailed presentation was delivered on the Logistic Management Coordination Unit (LMCU) and the Logistic Management Information System (LMIS) data feedback analysis to enhance evidence-based decision-making.
Another key highlight of the meeting was the orientation of stakeholders on the new Logistic Management Information System (LMIS) reporting strategy for family planning commodities. The initiative is aimed at strengthening data quality, improving reporting efficiency, and ensuring better coordination within the state’s health commodity supply chain management system.
In his remarks, the Director General of the Kano State Primary Health Care Management Board, Professor Salisu Ahmad Professor Salisu Ahmed Ibrahim, commended the Kano State Ministry of Health and its partners for their continued commitment to strengthening the state’s health logistics system. He emphasized that effective data use and coordinated supply chain management are critical to ensuring uninterrupted access to essential medicines and family planning services for communities across Kano State.
