The meeting, attended by Barr. Seyi Tinubu, Patron of the Movement, and Francis Oluwatosin Shoga, Director General, brought together key stakeholders to discuss how women can become the backbone of grassroots political mobilization across Nigeria.
During the meeting, leaders acknowledged that women remain the true drivers of political change at the community level. It was therefore resolved to establish a robust Women Wing structure that will operate at the national, state, and local government levels, ensuring that no woman is left behind in the Movement’s mission.
The Office of the National Woman Leader will now be fully established to coordinate women-focused programs and initiatives across the country. This will include strategic engagement with young women, female entrepreneurs, market women, religious leaders, and professional women who are ready to contribute meaningfully to national development.
In a show of strong support for the initiative, Barr. Seyi Tinubu approved the handover of two 18-seater buses to the Women Wing. These vehicles will support the Movement’s outreach efforts and help take the message of political participation to women across communities nationwide.
The National Women Leader, Ummusalma Rabiu, commended Barr. Seyi Tinubu for his vision and commitment to expanding opportunities for women in leadership and grassroots engagement.
Ummusalma Rabiu further assured that her office will build a women's wing that is professional, organized, and ready to deliver impact, women’s needs, and the immense power of women in shaping political outcomes
The meeting was also attended by the Director General of the City Boy Movement, Hon. Francis Oluwatosin Shoga; National Coordinator, Hon. Favour Abayomi; Deputy National Woman leader, Sophie Uzodimma; alongside other senior officials of the Movement.
