Reports indicate that Bello, a former governorship candidate, is set to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition.
In his resignation letter, Bello expressed "profound" gratitude to Governor Uba Sani for the opportunity to serve Kaduna State.
However, a statement from the Kaduna State Government revealed that Governor Sani had actually "relieved" Bello of his position.
The Governor has since appointed Ahmed Maiyaki as the new Commissioner of Information.
Bello's potential move to the ADC coalition is seen as a significant development in Kaduna politics, as he would be joining forces with former Governor Nasir El-Rufai to challenge Governor Sani and President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election.
