Kaduna PDP Suffers Another Blow as Deputy Gov Candidate Defects to ADC

John Ayuba, the 2023 deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State, has resigned from the party and joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Ayuba confirmed his defection on Monday, citing mismanagement and lack of direction at the national level as reasons for his decision.

In his resignation letter, Ayuba accused some national stakeholders of mismanaging the party's future and engaging in anti-party activities, which he claimed led to the party's poor performance in the 2023 general election.

Ayuba's defection is the latest in a series of high-profile exits from the PDP in Kaduna and across the country, amid post-election discontent and internal wrangling.
