Zamfara Govt Condemns Terrorist Killings, Vows to Crush Networks

The Zamfara State Government has strongly condemned the recent brutal killings of innocent captives by a notorious terrorist gang operating in the state.

Commissioner for Information and Culture, Mahmud Muhammad Dantawasa, issued a statement on behalf of Governor Dauda Lawal, extending condolences to the families and communities affected by the tragedy.

Governor Lawal described the attack as cowardly and desperate, stating that the terrorists are losing ground. He assured that the government will not rest until every criminal involved is captured or neutralized.

The government has launched unprecedented security measures, including:

  • Elimination of top commanders and fighters in clearance operations
  • Provision of operational vehicles to security agencies
  • Intensified security patrols in vulnerable areas
  • Offensive operations to dismantle bandit hideouts

The government is currently pursuing the killers, rescuing remaining captives, and providing medical and psychological support for survivors. Local intelligence is being enhanced to detect and crush terror attempts.

Governor Lawal urged citizens not to give in to fear, stating that the attacks are acts of desperation by criminals who know their end is near. He assured that the government, in collaboration with security agencies, is winning the war against terrorism.

The governor pledged to restore peace and dignity to the land, stating, "We will not surrender an inch of Zamfara to criminals. They will either repent or be eliminated.
