Despite cooperating with the 'Fair Hearing Committee' set up by the state government, the affected workers claim they have yet to receive resolution, communication, or relief.
In a heartfelt appeal, the representatives of the affected civil servants urged Governor Lawal to intervene and address the pressing issue, ensuring compassion, fairness, and reinstatement of their rightful wages.

RE: URGENT APPEAL FOR THE NON-PAYMENT OF SIX MONTHS SALARIES TO AFFECTED WORKERS
The above underlined refers:
I’m writing on behalf of the over 4,000 civil servants affected by the recent e-file exercise, with a heavy hearts to express our disappointment over the continued non-payment of our salaries for the past six months. However, the very few amongst us with genuine concerns make ourselves available (about 800 satff in number) to the ‘Fair Hearing Committee’ (set up by the HoS early April, 2025) over three months ago since the committee finished it’s assignments, there has been no resolution, no communication, & no relief.
We earnestly await the official release of the Fair Hearing Committee’s report from the Office of the Head of Service, as a matter of transparency & administrative responsibility.
We are deeply disheartened by the lackadaisical attitude exhibited by the State Accountant General during our peaceful demonstration last Thursday. His dismissive approach was not only unprofessional but also unbecoming of someone who, like us, is a civil servant & should understand our plight. We expected empathy, not hostility.
It’s pertinent for H.E to note that, we equally have families to feed & responsibilities to uphold. We endured Ramadan fasting, Eid el-Fitr, & Eid el-Kabir (Sallah Bonuses inclusive) without a single gesture of support from the So Called ‘Rescue Administration’. This silence from the Rescue Commander—whom we believed to be people-centered—is painful & further leaves many of us in horrible conditions.
We respectfully call on you to intervene immediately. We the affected workers deserve compassion, fairness, & reinstatement of our rightful wages. Leadership is tested not in comfort, but in how the vulnerable are treated.
We trust in your sense of justice & await swift action to this lingering issue while we continue to be patient & law abiding Civil Servants.
