The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Jamilu Sa'idu, has been declared the winner of the Kaura-Namoda South State Assembly Constituency supplementary election in Zamfara State.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced the results, with the APC polling 8,182 votes, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) scored 5,543 votes.
The Returning Officer, Professor Lawal Sa'adu of the Federal University Gusau, made the announcement around 1:30 a.m. on Friday.
The supplementary election was held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, to conclude the process, which was initially declared inconclusive due to irregularities in five polling units.
With the supplementary poll now concluded, the APC's victory has been affirmed, increasing its lead over the PDP.
