ADC Labels APC as 'Terrorist Organisation' After Church Attack

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of acting like a terrorist organization following an attack on its members at a church premises in Lagos State.

The ADC claimed that political thugs sponsored by the APC invaded the church venue, causing violence, destroying property, and seizing belongings. The party described the incident as a desecration of a place of worship and a new low in the APC's alleged campaign of violence against the opposition.

The ADC warned that the Lagos incident was part of a disturbing pattern of intimidation across several states, citing earlier cases of threats, harassment, and attacks on its leaders and members.

The party urged the Nigeria Police Force to remain loyal to the constitution and the Nigerian people, rather than being used as an arm of the ruling party. The ADC called for the arrest and prosecution of those behind the Lagos violence and other attacks targeting its leaders nationwide.

The party maintained that violence was a confession of failure by the APC, saying the ruling party had chosen intimidation over presenting its record of achievements to Nigerians. The ADC vowed to remain committed to peaceful engagement with Nigerians while refusing to fold its arms in the face of attacks.
