Body Found Dead in Car Parked at National Assembly Premises

The Police have launched an investigation into the suspected suicide of 30-year-old Ik Ojo, found dead in a red Peugeot 406 at a construction site in Abuja's Kagini-Dei-Dei area. Friends and neighbors suspect foul play, which sparked the probe.

According to Police Public Relations Officer SP Josephine Adeh, the body was discovered around 9 am on Sunday, September 7th, and was already in an advanced state of decomposition. Officers from the National Assembly Division responded to the distress call and evacuated the body to Asokoro General Hospital.

The FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Ajao Adewale, has ordered a discreet investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident. Efforts are being intensified to establish the identity of the deceased, and further updates will be communicated as the investigation progresses.
