Zamfara Puts Health Workers on Notice: No Room for Negligence

The Zamfara government has warned health workers against absenteeism and negligence to improve service delivery. The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Nafisa Maradun, issued the caution during an Integrated Supportive Supervision visit to General Hospital in Dansadau. She emphasized that accountability and dedication are essential for strengthening the state’s healthcare system.

The supervision exercise aims to monitor health facilities, assess service delivery, staff performance, and the functionality of secondary healthcare centers. It will cover all general hospitals and health facilities across the state’s 14 local government areas to ensure quality care for residents.

Dr. Maradun praised medical directors, nurses, and staff for their commitment and urged continued diligence. She assured that the initiative would raise standards, boost efficiency, and enhance service delivery in public health facilities.
