The rally also highlighted tensions between Wike and Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, with the APC leaders accusing Wike of sabotaging the governor’s administration. They claimed Wike’s actions could harm the party’s prospects in the state and the broader Niger Delta region.
Further, the groups condemned Wike’s assertion that Rivers State was a “no-go area,” viewing it as a challenge to federal authority and a potential trigger for unrest. They vowed to continue protests nationwide until Wike is removed, framing their campaign as a defense of the party, Tinubu’s presidency, and national cohesion.
The statement concluded with a call for immediate action, signed by prominent figures including Chief Emeka Okoro and Alhaji Ibrahim Yusuf, who reaffirmed their support for Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
