Upon returning, Jaji confirmed the issue firsthand and took the matter to the APC National Chairman. He commended the chairman for promptly addressing the problem not only in Zamfara but also in other states facing similar challenges. Jaji accused former governors in Zamfara of manipulating the e-registration process, alleging that they deliberately excluded certain party members.
Speaking at the APC National Headquarters in Abuja, Jaji emphasized that the party’s e-registration had faced irregularities in Zamfara. He noted that while some high-profile members were publicly displaying their registration status, others, including himself, were left out despite being active party members. He expressed concern that these actions could weaken the party, drawing parallels to past incidents that led to the collapse of another major party in the state.
Jaji also addressed the lack of clear leadership in the Zamfara APC, stating that the absence of a defined leader had allowed internal conflicts to escalate. He suggested that former governors or senior officials should naturally assume leadership roles, but since no such structure exists, the party remains fragmented. He concluded by commending the national chairman for his swift intervention, which he believes will strengthen the party’s unity and progress.
