Separate reports revealed that Abba Abubakar, Atiku’s son, recently switched from the PDP to the ruling APC and expressed his commitment to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
In response, Atiku emphasized that such political choices are normal in a democracy, even within families. He affirmed his democratic principles, stating that he does not impose decisions on his children or Nigerians.
However, he criticized APC governance, citing the economic and social challenges faced by Nigerians. Atiku reiterated his dedication to collaborating with fellow patriots to provide a better alternative for the nation’s progress.
