The Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has completed the construction of a modern NUJ building project in just 37 days.
Malam Musa Bello Jabaka, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, confirmed this while receiving the fully completed project from A.G. Amajir Construction Company on behalf of the ministry. He described the work as well-executed.
The building was constructed according to specifications, and the team of engineers who inspected the project expressed satisfaction with the quality of work done by A.G. Amajir. The materials used, both internally and externally, met the required standards and are durable.
Initially, the contractors were given 70 days to complete the project but finished it in just 37 days. The ministry commended the company for its efficiency.
After receiving the completed building from A.G. Amajir, it was handed over to the Chairman of the Zamfara State NUJ, Comrade Ibrahim Musa Maizare. The ministry stated that further directives from Governor Dauda Lawal and the Commissioner of the Ministry would be awaited before officially approving the building for use.
Upon receiving the project, Maizare praised Governor Lawal for providing a modern facility for journalists in the state. He assured that the building would be used responsibly and maintained in line with NUJ ethics and practices.
Maizare also acknowledged the efforts of his predecessors, crediting their groundwork for the success achieved during his tenure. He described the building as a significant milestone in the history of the NUJ in Zamfara State.
