Represented by Hon. Kasimu Sani Kaura, Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Governor Lawal emphasized the government’s focus on policies designed to raise living standards. “Our priority is grassroots economic growth—ensuring self-reliance and a brighter future for our people,” he stated.
Dr. Aliyu Adamu Barmo, Special Adviser on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), highlighted the broader vision behind the initiative. “This is only the first phase of our SDG-aligned projects. We have more programs underway to support small businesses and empower those still awaiting opportunities,” he explained.
The pilot phase selected 500 beneficiaries from Tsafe’s 11 wards, covering trades like poultry farming, carpentry, tailoring, food vending, and butchery. Each recipient received tools relevant to their trade alongside ₦100,000 in startup funds to kickstart their businesses.
