Abdallah Awad Alshehri, Director of International Cooperation, emphasized that all registration steps must be completed on Nusuk Masar before visa processing begins. Key requirements include payment of consolidated guarantees for pilgrims, handling Hadaya contracts for those performing Tumattu’i or Qiran rites, and registering pilgrims who opt for fasting instead of sacrifice. Pilgrims must also be clearly categorized under Ifrad, Tumattu’i, or Qiran.
A medical service contract with an accredited Saudi provider is mandatory, along with booking backup accommodation in Makkah for one percent of each country’s pilgrim quota. Alshehri stressed that passports not uploaded to the platform by February 8 will risk exclusion from Hajj 2026.
In related updates, Saudi Arabia and Nigeria confirmed the Bilateral Air Service Agreement will transition to a 50/50 passenger-sharing model in 2027, while maintaining a 40/60 split for 2026. Tour operators were reminded to ensure pilgrims return within their visa validity periods to avoid overstays.
The ministry’s message is clear: compliance with Nusuk Masar requirements is non-negotiable for timely visa issuance and participation in Hajj 2026.
