Maiyaki stated that the APC's victory, along with wins in Zaria Kewaye and Basawa State Assembly constituencies, demonstrates growing public trust in the current administration.
According to INEC figures, the APC secured 34,580 votes, defeating the PDP (11,491 votes), ADC (3,477 votes), and SDP (142 votes).
Maiyaki credited Governor Uba Sani's grassroots-focused initiatives, including road construction, healthcare and education improvements, and security enhancements, for the win.
"The people have spoken, endorsing progressive leadership. This election outcome showcases Kaduna residents' confidence in the governor's inclusive governance style," Maiyaki said.
He noted that the victory expands the APC's presence and strengthens its position ahead of the 2027 general elections.
"Chikun and Kajuru are no longer opposition strongholds. The APC's grip on Kaduna's future is becoming stronger by the day," Maiyaki stated.
