The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), through its Sokoto Operations Office, has delivered humanitarian relief supplies to individuals impacted by the devastating 2025 floods in the Gusau/Tsafe Federal Constituency of Zamfara State.
This initiative, authorized by the Director-General of NEMA, is part of the agency's continuous commitment to providing aid and reducing hardship in communities affected by natural disasters.
The distributed relief items encompassed both food and non-food essentials. Among the food supplies were bags of rice and maize, cartons of spaghetti, seasoning cubes, tomato paste, vegetable oil, and iodized salt. Additionally, non-food items such as guinea brocade and wax print fabrics were provided to support the affected families.
Recipients of the relief materials expressed their gratitude to the Federal Government and NEMA for the prompt and much-needed assistance, which has brought some relief during their challenging times.
The distribution took place earlier this week, reinforcing NEMA's role in disaster response and recovery efforts across Nigeria.
